On Tuesday, November 28th, 2023, Goulburn Options held our yearly Annual General Meeting. Goulburn Options Association Members, participants, staff, volunteers, family members, carers and community partners were all in attendence to hear about the year just gone, and vote in members of the Goulburn Options Board.
As always, the AGM was a fantastic evening. Goulburn Options extends a huge thank you to our Guest Chair for the evening: Graeme Dove. Graeme Dove, of Seymour Toyota, Kilmore Toyota and Central Ford Kilmore has been a dedicated community supporter of Goulburn Options, especially in recent times following last year's October Floods. It was in no small part thanks to Graeme and his team that GO participants and programs were able to get back on the road.
Another huge thank you to the Goulburn Opitons Literacy Program. Members Davis Stokes, Megan D'Silva, Hannah Challis, Mikey Willet, and Paris Guest, alongside support workers Chris, Charity and Jacinta, presented their report to all those in attendence: What Happened at Goulburn Options in 2023. Each participant took turns to speak or sign, detailing the programs, events, excursions and achievements of GO over the last twelve months. The report was thoughtful, detailed, well-presented, hilarious and fun! Well done!
A long standing portion of the GO AGM is our Service Awards Presentation, which highlights GO staff and volunteers who have reached service milestones with our organisation. This year, this was:
FIVE YEARS
Paula Jones (staff)
Jacinta Kelly (staff)
Andrea Huball (staff)
Christie Gross (staff)
Sophie Berens (volunteer)
TEN YEARS
Shirley Neal (volunteer)
FIFTEEN YEARS
Sharon Hazelden (volunteer)
Deb Williamson (staff)
We also awarded Robert 'Bob' Edwards with a Life Governor Award for his longstanding service to Goulburn Options in various capacities including his time on the Goulburn Options Board. Bob left the GO Board this year, but his impact will certainly be felt for years to come.
Congratulations to all staff and volunteers on your awards, and thank you again for your dedication to and passion for our organisation.
Overall, the GO AGM of 2023 was one of our best to date. We thank all the staff who assisted in putting the night together and making it the success it was.
