Welcome to our monthly wrap up of all the amazing activities, events and happenings at Goulburn Options. This month, Goulburn Options REALLY got into the community spirit and did a lot of work to connect to local businesses, organisations and people in our local area.
Suggestion Box for Journey Early Learning Seymour
Earlier this year, Journey Early Learning Seymour reached out to GO after spotting our participants out in the community, sparking the idea of an awesome project. Our GO Woodwork Crew took on the challenge of building a colourful suggestions box from recycled timber, showcasing their creativity and craftsmanship. This month, participants Dylan and David proudly presented the finished box to the Journey team, who were thrilled with the donation. A big thank you to Journey Early Learning for collaborating with us and for the wonderful work you do with our youngest community members!

Annual Tradition: Broadford Secondary College Matinee
For three years running, Broadford Secondary College has invited Goulburn Options to be the very first audience of their annual school production. This year, BSC produced Alice in Wonderland, and invited GO along to enjoy all the hard work they had put into their show. Our participants and staff had a fantastic time and gave the show a solid 10/10! Thanks, as always to BSC!
GO would also like to give a huge shoutout to Pagey's Cafe in Broadford for having us for lunch after the show. Your staff were amazing and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious!

GO Woodwork for Sale at GO Again
This month, GO Again Op Shop and GO Woodwork have joined forces! From now on, the op shop will feature a table of GO Woodwork items for sale, including cutting boards, decorative vases, drink servers, barometers and more! All money raised from the purchase of GO Woodwork items go straight back into the program for additional tools, supplies and projects, meaning GO participants have more and more opportunities to develop their skills, build their capacity, and even more opportunities to get you skillfully handcrafted products you love!

20 x 20 x 20 Art Show Planning
Keeping in the community spirit, this month GO and Seymour & District U3A joined forces to begin the planning of our upcoming 20 x 20 x 20 Art Show! To celebrate U3A's 20th Anniversary in our local area, artists from both organisations are curating an exhibition made up of 20x20cm artworks! Our show is designed to bring together as many different parts of our community in a celebration of our local area, and to highlight the kinds of things that can be achieved through partnership and collaboration. We can't wait for the opening of the show. All are invited to attend!

AGM Announcement
And finally, it's that time of the year again -- GO is currently underway, planning our Annual General Meeting. All members of our community are strongly encouraged to attend, including all staff, participants, families/carers and members of the public. Our AGM is one of the highlights of the GO calendar each year, features an amazing presentation from the GO Literacy group, a recap of all the awesome work done by GO in the year just gone, and is a great opportunity to learn all about what's coming up next for our organisation!
This year's AGM will be held on Wednesday 22nd October at 4pm at 16-18 Station Street, Seymour. If you'd like to attend, RSVP to go@goinc.org.au

That's all folks!
As we say goodbye to August, we're already looking forward to so much more coming in September. If you would like to keep up with GO between blog posts, make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram!
